Child marriage and dowry both considered as one of the prominent problem, which has been prevailing even in the modern society. This small skit speaks on the notion of common person regarding the child marriage and dowry, plus its consequences. In Rural areas, it is a common tendency to perform marriage to children even when they are in cradle. In most of the time, it happens in order to strengthen the bond between the families and to ensure security to the girl child. Skit makes it clear that Child brides often exposed to serious health risks such as premature pregnancy; sexually transmitted infections and it seriously affect their health. Unfortunately, a person, who is well aware about the law that prohibits child marriage, forced to keep mum due to lack of interest from people who do not know about it.

Same condition prevails even in case of Dowry. In olden days, it given to help the newly married couple to settle their life. However, gradually the practice became essential in Indian society and it took the form of demand. Brides and their parent’s suffer a lot in order to provide the demands from the bridegroom and his family.

In total, this burlesque gives a random picture of people’s conception and propensity regarding Child Marriage and Dowry.
